JIM CUNNINGHAM
Jim Cunningham is a fundraising and
organizational management expert with over 25 years of experience in
the business. His career began in politics in 1979 and his first
consulting firm served clients running for legislative office,
governor and lieutenant governor as well as two presidential
candidates.
Over the years, Mr. Cunningham further
refined his unique system of fundraising, making his firm one of the
premier political fundraising operations in the nation. He
developed a highly successful system called “The Focus System” which
targets, nurtures, solicits and follows up with the targeted
audience.
Specializing in individual donor
development, Mr. Cunningham raised over $500 million dollars from
individuals across the United States over the past 12 years, under
some of the toughest conditions and deadlines.
He has worked with clients in 46 states
since the spring of 1993 and has built the reputation of running one
of the best-organized and most successful fundraising firms in
America. In addition to political clients, Mr. Cunningham has
worked with numerous organizations and associations to improve their
fundraising capabilities and has been successful with all types of
solicitation programs including major donor, small donor and
corporate giving strategies.
Mr. Cunningham understands the unique
relationship between an organization’s services, (the “product),”
and the reasons that compel individuals to pledge their financial
support. His experience in organizational management, marketing and
media each contribute to his holistic approach to fundraising for
non-profits.
“We have found that most people get used to
doing things the same way over and over again. We believe if you do
what you have always done, you will get what you have always
gotten.”
L.A. HARRIS
L.A. Harris has
spent the last 15 years establishing and improving fundraising
operations across the United States, bringing focus, discipline and
professionalism to each of his clients.
A seasoned
professional who has managed hundreds of fundraising projects, L.A.
Harris has spent over a decade implementing the “Focus System,” the
highly successful CHM approach to fundraising.
After graduating
from the University of Kentucky with a B.A. in Political Science, L.
A. Harris began his professional career as a political fundraiser,
setting up successful fundraising offices for candidates for
Governor, the United States Senate, members of Congress,
professional associations, and many other committees and
organizations.
Mr. Harris has
raised millions of dollars from individual donors and corporate
sources, and brings an innovative approach to non-profit
fundraising. Combining the tried and true principles of non-profit
fundraising with the best lessons from political fundraising, Mr.
Harris knows what works and, equally as important, what doesn’t.
“CHM focuses on
eliminating the number one reason non-profits fail at raising the
money they need. That reason is lack of execution!”
